Dr. Samaranch studied medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic). At the end of these studies, he joined the Provincial Maternity of Barcelona to perform the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, obtaining the title of the specialty in 1982. In 1984 he joined the Spanish Society of Fertility, a field in which he has not stopped working. From 1984 to 2002 he was the head of the Gynecological Emergency Department of the Clínica Corachán in Barcelona.

     In 1991 he requested decided to pause his assistant doctor job position, obtained by an opposition contest, from the Provincial Maternity of Barcelona. In October of 1997 he installed in his consultation of Gonzalez Tablas the first Ecographer with a 3-D technology, being pioneer in Catalonia of this technique.

     In February 2011, he began a new adventure in the office located on Caravela la Niña, waiting, like the Nao that gives the name to the street, to reach the professional goals he once pursued, without losing at any moment the direct and absolutely personalized attention to their patients he has always had.

Dr. Alejandra X. Paz, daughter of a prestigious Argentine Gynecologist, studied medicine at the University of Buenos Aires, specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at San Roque de Gonnet Hospital in La Plata, obtaining the title, in 2008. Subsequently she was named by opposition as the head of Residents of gynecology-obstetrics.

In 2009, having the Spanish nacionality, she validated her degree in medicine and the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology, joining the Hospital Sant Joan de Reus (Catalonia).

In 2011 she performed in Barcelona the Master of Reproduction of the IVI, joining the consultation that same yea.

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Central University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínico).

He specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology, in the Provincial House of Maternity of Barcelona, having as his head of department Dr. Luis Guilera Vallhonrat.

Doctor in Medicine and Surgery by the University of Barcelona with an outstanding “Cum Laude” in 1983.

He collegiated in the Official School of Physicians of Barcelona, with the nº 11.392 until today.

Incorporated in the Provincial Maternity House of Barcelona in 1978, he accessed a assistant place in April 1984, through an opposition, that he still keeps. Nowadays the center is incorporated into the ICGON (Institut Clinic of Gynecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology), being its current head of department Professor Dr. Gratacós.

Since October 1984 Senior Registrar of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service of the Red Cross Hospital of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, until March 2006.

In March 2006 he joined the Samaranch consultation.

Dr. Alberto Puig Menen graduated in Medicine at the University of Barcelona in 1973. After being a medical officer in the Merchant Navy in the Cabo San Roque and Cabo San Vicente ships, in 1978 he obtained the title of specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

    He performed a brilliant career at the Hospital de la Cruz Roja at L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, being named successively Assistant doctor, Clinical Head and finally Head of Department of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service.

    Since 1990 he has been an associate professor at the Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Barcelona.

     In his long professional career, Dr. Puig Menen stands out for his specialization in Gynecological and Mammary Oncology.

Member of the Spanish Society of Reproduction, the Spanish Society of Endocrinology and the Spanish Society of Andrology.

The auxiliary staff of the consultation is composed of Mrs. María Saucedo and Mrs. Sara Khairoun, who, in addition to carrying out the corresponding administrative tasks, are always taking care of giving a close and pleasant attention to our patients.
